Between Two Worlds

"They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world."
John 17:16 (ESV)
As we walk through this world, we feel an ache. This ache persists as we live in a world corrupted by sin, longing for a world free of any trace of it. We live in a paradox: in the world but not of it—citizens of the Kingdom of God living in the kingdom of man. While we long for golden shores, we serve as ambassadors on a mission to bring more into the heavenly fold.
Take heart, my friend—the trials are temporary. The pain will come to an abrupt end, but the glories of the Father shall never cease. And we are not cut off from His glory as we are now; we have not yet fully attained all that He has prepared for us, but we do share in the blessings He has for us as we wander this world as strangers. We do not yet behold Him in full, but when our journey in this strange land comes to an end we shall immediately be in His immediate presence.
Bear your light, weary traveler. Tell the world of Jesus, that we may bring others with us as we sojourn to the gates of glory.
